In commemoration of Nepo Mall Angeles’ 20th anniversary of serving the Kapampangan community, its grandest celebration as of yet transpired in March with the promise of grand promos, prizes, and events for both the tenant-partners and shoppers.
The three major events were as follows:
- Anniversary Sale (March 1 – 31, 2023)
- Anniversary Raffle (March 1 – May 1, 2023)
- GMA Kapuso Mall Show (March 18, 2023)
Alongside these, an Anniversary Bazaar featuring homegrown businesses was organized from March 15 to 18. Adding glee to the festivities was the non-stop playing of music, as brought by NEPO Live: 20 Years, 20 Performances.
Officially commencing the celebration, a Thanksgiving Mass was held at the mall’s Atrium last March 14, followed by an awarding ceremony for the employees and tenant-partners’ years of service and support, respectively. The mall honored, as well, employees and individuals who exhibited exemplary behavior and honesty.
During her speech, Melissa N. Mapua, Nepomuceno Realty Group’s President of Retail, recalled stories of the home that once stood on the mall’s grounds and how the family’s idea of a mall at the heart of Angeles City brought Nepo Mall Angeles to life.
President Mapua also shared how the mall was persevered in the last 20 years despite the challenges and changes in circumstances, saying,“…When in doubt, go back to your values. Those values are incorporated into our companies–service, integrity, excellence.”
Meanwhile, Jianne Lising, Marketing Officer and Project Lead of the 20th Anniversary, expressed that the celebration’s most significant point for her was the successful finale, with prominent Kapuso stars Vin Abrenica, Arra San Agustin, Michelle Dee, Sanya Lopez, Kylie Padilla gracing the shoppers with their presence during the most-awaited GMA Kapuso Mall Show last March 18.
Afterwards, President Mapua and Engr. Edgar Galam, Mall Senior Manager, took turns picking winners for the Anniversary Raffle’s first raffle draw. Ending the momentous night were Viva Artist Gabe Pineda and sciscisci’ lead vocalist Sci Diaz who delivered heartfelt performances of cover and original songs to the audience.
Lising then maintained that the event was only made possible with the consideration, guidance, and support of the leadership team. As such, even with it being her first mall anniversary, she was able to rise through the pressure, thereby unlocking a new ‘core memory’—as she would put it—not only for her but also for the community as well.
