JDN, Nepo Center present Puso Ng Pasko – fostering deeper appreciation for the arts.
ANGELES CITY, PAMPANGA – In a heartwarming display of corporate philanthropy and cultural enrichment, JDN Realty Group, led by its president and CEO Rick N. Wilkerson took center stage as the proud sponsor of Puso Ng Pasko, an all-Filipino Christmas ballet performance at Nepo Center, Angeles City on Dec. 7, 2023 to share the joy of Christmas to fellow Angeleños and Cabalen.
The production proudly features an astounding breadth of Filipino works by our National Artists, with a timeless music score arranged by National Artist for Music, Ryan Cayabyab, and brilliant choreography by a talented group of rising Filipino choreographers under the mentorship of our National Artist for Dance, Alice Reyes.
One of the remarkable aspects of JDN’s initiative was the decision to make the event accessible to all. With free admission, the company ensured that everyone can enjoy this cultural feast.
JDN top management and the Nepomuceno family were all in attendance to support the worthy cause. Families, students, art enthusiasts, and even members of the local government flooded the venue, creating a diverse audience that mirrored the inclusivity championed by the company.
Director of Department of Tourism (DOT) Region III Richard Daenos and former city mayor and now Clark Development Corp. (CDC) Chairman – Edgardo Pamintuan also graced the event.
A celebration of local culture and traditions
Local talents also took part; Sinukwan Kapampangan, Kundiman Ning Angeles, and The Dance Conservatory all contributed and showcased Kapampangan talent to help make the show as enchanting as it can be in the Angeles City leg of Puso Ng Pasko Luzon Tour.
The FREE admission ballet show unfolded as a testament to the company’s commitment to community engagement and the celebration of diverse artistic expressions. Puso Ng Pasko in particular celebrates Filipino culture as it chose to portray on stage the true spirit of Paskong Pinoy. Comprising a cast of characters across multiple generations, it also pays homage to the different fiestas and traditions across the Philippine islands.
JDN’s effort to bring the captivating show to Angeles was not merely an act of generosity but an endeavor to promote cultural awareness and bring the community together through a seamless blend of classical ballet techniques with the essence of our rich cultural heritage creating a visually stunning and emotionally resonant experience.
A beacon of corporate altruism
This effort underscored the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. By investing in the arts, the company not only contributed to the cultural enrichment of the community but also demonstrated its belief in the transformative power of the performing arts to unite people across boundaries.
As the final curtain fell and the audience erupted into applause, JDN stood as a beacon of corporate altruism. By sponsoring a cultural ballet with free admission, the company not only enriched the cultural landscape of the community but also showcased the profound impact that corporate support can have on the accessibility and appreciation of the arts. Puso Ng Pasko will be remembered as more than just a ballet performance—it will be etched in the collective memory and cumulation of talent symbolizing the true spirit of paskong Pinoy and the power of corporate sponsorship for the greater good.
